The following terms have the meanings set forth below:
(a) "Guest" means a person who enters the gaming facility for the purpose of participating in games, consuming food and beverages or using any of its amenities.
(b) "Game" refers to any activity conducted within the gaming facility where stakes are wagered on an outcome that may be determined by chance, including but not limited to slot machines, table games, electronic betting stations and poker tournaments.
(c) "Facility Operator" means Coquitlam Casino GAMING FACILITY (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator").
(d) "Province of British Columbia" refers to the Province in which this facility operates, under jurisdiction of BCLC regulations and local authorities.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and any applicable federal law, without giving effect to any principle of conflicts of law that might refer such matters to another jurisdiction.
Each Guest must provide identification showing proof of being at least 19 years old (or as specified under local law). If a Guest appears younger than the stated age, but may have a valid government-issued ID, this shall be verified and determined by applicable laws in place within BC or its equivalent.
Guests are responsible for ensuring they understand all rules of the Games they play at our Facility prior to starting any Game session. The Operator reserves the right to terminate any Guest's participation if their behavior is deemed disorderly, a nuisance, obstructive to other Guests' enjoyment or otherwise detrimental to a safe and orderly gaming environment.
All Games within this facility operate under established rules as defined by local jurisdictions (BCLC) guidelines for Gaming. No variations of these shall be allowed unless clearly posted at the relevant Game station.
The Operator is committed to a safe gaming environment, but Guests are encouraged to follow safety best practices during participation in any Game or use of facility amenities, including adhering to fire evacuation procedures and following proper cash handling protocols when participating in Games that accept wagers with actual currency on site.
The Operator ensures all activities involving the collection, storage or transfer of personal data are conducted strictly according to applicable British Columbia Data Protection laws (e.g. Freedom of Information requests etc.) All Guests shall be notified how their data is stored and used when registering at our Facility with an official form for that purpose.
Disputes arising from participation in a Game or related matter will be resolved as per standard gaming rules applicable within BC jurisdiction under BCLC regulations, or if unresolved internally by the Operator or other participating parties via recognized ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) methods. These Terms and Conditions are to be binding on all Guests, Operators employees included.
Guests shall at all times adhere to acceptable gaming practices which include: Limiting wagers per Game session; Monitoring Gaming losses over sessions of any length, including but not limited to checking loss limits against overall win or potential win amount.
The Facility is a member and adheres fully to guidelines provided by Problem Gambling support services such as the BC Gamblers' Hotline (1-888-GAME ON). It encourages any Guest experiencing difficulty controlling their gaming habits, or observing issues within other guests towards them self help resource links on premises, for seeking guidance from BCGambleOn resources available upon site at game sessions.
The Operator reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions as it deems necessary. Guests are expected to check frequently posted changes via clear signage inside our facility or on premises printed materials, while a full copy of updated terms will be stored at reception for visitor information purposes in accordance with regulations regarding notification upon site.
This Agreement represents the entire understanding between Guests and Operators regarding participation within this Facility, supersedes all prior oral or written agreements and may only be amended by execution by authorized Operator staff as per local laws concerning gambling facility operation within BC jurisdiction.
The Terms set forth herein are intended for binding effect upon both parties: The Guest(s) participating in a Game or any other activity, and the Facility's Operators as represented above - to maintain compliance with provincial authorities' stipulations governing gaming operations.
By entering our premises Guests agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
